Loom Gabbeh rugs are handwoven in Bhadohi, a small town in India. The innovative weaving technique used creates what is known as the loom knot, which shortens the production process and allows for affordable yet high-quality rugs in the Gabbeh design. Loom Gabbeh rugs are often characterized by relatively uniform colors and simple patterns.
Gabbeh rugs are valuable examples of authentic Persian craftsmanship. To offer similar rugs at more affordable prices, the Loom Gabbeh was developed and is available in our online shop. It differs from the original in its knotting technique—the loom knot is faster to weave. The result is a modern-looking, coarse-textured rug suitable for a wide variety of uses.
