Terms and Conditions for purchases made through uniqrugs.com for delivery within United States. The following terms govern all services and sales provided by UniqRugs Inc. via uniqrugs.com.
We are committed to offering a transparent, secure and trustworthy shopping experience to all our customers.

Scope

These Terms and Conditions apply to all orders placed through our online shop by both consumers and business customers.

A consumer is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business, or profession. A business customer is a natural or legal person or a partnership with legal capacity acting in the course of their commercial or self-employed professional activity.

These Terms shall also apply to future business with business customers, without the need for explicit reference. Conflicting or supplementary terms provided by the business customer are expressly rejected, unless we have explicitly agreed to them in writing.

Contract Formation

The presentation of products in our online shop does not constitute a legally binding offer, but rather a non-binding online catalogue.

By clicking the order button, the customer submits a binding offer for the products in the shopping cart. An automatic order confirmation will be sent by email immediately after the order is submitted. This confirmation does not yet constitute acceptance of the offer.

The purchase contract is only concluded once we confirm the shipment of the goods or actually dispatch the goods – whichever occurs first.

All offers are subject to availability. If an item is not available, we reserve the right not to accept the order. In such cases, the customer will be informed immediately and any payment made will be fully refunded.

Despite careful maintenance of our online offerings, errors may occur, such as incorrect pricing, sizing, or product descriptions. In the event of an obvious or technical error, we reserve the right to cancel the contract. The customer will be informed and will receive a full refund for any payment made.

Prices and Payment

All prices listed in our online shop include applicable sales tax, where required.
Shipping and delivery costs are shown separately in the product description.

Available payment methods are clearly communicated during checkout.

We generally offer the following payment methods: bank transfer, credit card, PayPal, Affirm, and Afterpay. Klarna is not available in the US. We reserve the right to disable certain methods per order.

Delivery terms

Delivery will be made to the address provided by the customer during checkout, unless otherwise agreed.

If a shipment cannot be delivered and is returned to the seller, the customer will bear the cost of the failed delivery. This does not apply if the customer is not at fault—for example, due to insufficient delivery notice or temporary inability to receive.
In case of a valid cancellation, return shipping costs are governed by our cancellation policy.

If the customer is a business, the risk of accidental loss or damage passes to the customer when the goods are handed over to the carrier.
If the customer is a consumer, risk generally passes when the goods are delivered to the customer or an authorised person. However, if the customer has arranged the carrier themselves and the seller did not specify that carrier, risk passes when the goods are handed over to that carrier—even for consumers.

31-Day Return Policy

For all rugs purchased from UniqRugs Inc., we offer a voluntary return policy in addition to any applicable rights you may have under US consumer law. The voluntary return period begins after any mandatory return period has ended and runs for 31 days from the date you receive the goods. Timely shipment of the returned item is sufficient to meet the deadline.

To qualify for a voluntary return, the item must be returned in its original condition – intact, unused, undamaged, and properly packaged in its original or equivalent packaging. If you would like to use our return service, please contact our customer support via email ([email protected]) or phone. You will then receive return instructions and a return label by email. If you are unable to print the label, we can alternatively send the return documents to you by post.

Please note: The 31-day return option does not apply to customized items or purchased gift cards.

Returns using our return service are free of charge. We do not accept parcels sent as cash on delivery. If you choose to return the goods on your own (e.g., by mail), we will not reimburse the shipping costs.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the original transaction – for example, to your credit card or bank account.

This voluntary return policy does not affect any legal rights you may have. It is offered in addition to, and does not limit, any applicable consumer protection laws or warranty rights in the United States.

Conditions for Returns and Refunds

Nothing in these return conditions shall limit or restrict any legal return rights you may have under US consumer protection laws, as described above.

To receive a full refund, the item must be returned in its original condition. Returned products must be clean, unused, and undamaged. Customers are responsible for ensuring returned goods are properly packaged, either in the original packaging or an equally secure and appropriate alternative.

The customer is responsible for packing the goods carefully for return shipment to prevent transport damage.
If the item is not returned in the required condition, we reserve the right to refuse the return. In that case, the item will be sent back to the customer and the customer will bear the shipping costs.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method originally used. If a gift card was used for the purchase, the corresponding amount will be refunded to the gift card balance.

Any deviations from these terms require an express agreement between the customer and UniqRugs.

5-Year Warranty on Hand-Knotted Rugs

Unless otherwise stated, we, UniqRugs Inc., offer a 5-year warranty from the date of purchase (invoice date) on our hand-knotted rugs.

Scope of coverage:
The warranty applies to all new hand-knotted rugs. Excluded are all woven rugs and those with “Loom” in the name, which indicates machine-tied construction. The warranty covers the durability of knots, fringes, and pile under normal residential use. Damages caused by improper use (e.g., stains, chemicals, pets) are not covered. Your statutory rights remain unaffected and continue to apply where applicable.

To process the warranty, we require your original invoice. Our service team will coordinate the next steps with you.

Warranty service:
At our discretion, our experts will either repair your rug free of charge or replace it with an equivalent rug in consultation with you.

Transport damage

We are responsible for damage during shipment until delivery to you or an authorised recipient.
After delivery, you assume responsibility for any returns or onward shipments.
Visible damage upon receipt must be reported immediately to the carrier (e.g. UPS, FedEx, DPD, DHL) and documented in writing.
Concealed damage discovered later must be reported to the carrier within 7 days.
Please also contact our customer service so we can assist you with the claim.

Certificate of authenticity

For all hand-knotted rugs, we guarantee the authenticity of the knotting. For orders with a value exceeding $273, we will issue a digital certificate of authenticity, which will be sent to you via email after shipment. For hand-knotted rugs below this value, a certificate can be provided upon request.

Retention of Title

The goods remain our property until full payment has been received.

Other Information

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions or any part thereof is deemed invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
